Borno approves N200m for scholarships

The Borno State Government has approved N200m  for payment  of  scholarship  grants to the  indigenes  of the state studying in tertiary institutions across the country.

The state Commissioner for Higher Education , Dr  Abubakar Hassan,  said  at a press conference in Maiduguri  on Friday Governor Kashim Shettima had  approved N150m  for the grants before the latest approval.

He said the  N350m  approved by the governor would ensure that the  beneficiaries of scholarship grants  who had not been paid since  2013  were paid.
