District, village heads get new vehicles

District and village heads in the 21 local government areas of Kebbi State are to get new vehicles courtesy of the state government.

Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, (ALGON) in the state, Shehu Marshal, disclosed that Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has approved the purchase of the vehicles, while briefing journalists after a closed door meeting with the governor and chairmen of council areas on Friday in Birnin Kebbi.

Marshal, who is the chairman of Jega Local Government Area, said the gesture was to facilitate the operational capability of the monarchs, especially on security matters.
