Kebbi: Bagudu, Lawmakers-elect Get Certificates Of Return

The Kebbi State governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and 24 elected members of the state House of Assembly have received their certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following their victory at the governorship and State Assembly elections on Saturday March 9,2019.

The INEC national commissioner in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara, Hajiya Amina Bala Zakari issued the certificate of return to Bagudu while the Resident Electoral Commissioner ,Ahmad Mahmud issued to elected state house of assembly members at Kebbi State School of Nursing and Midwifery in Birnin Kebbi, yesterday.

The INEC national commissioner in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara, Hajiya Amina Bala Zakari, said the issuance of the certificates to the governor and elected State Assembly members concludes all the electoral activities in Kebbi.

She commended Kebbi State as one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria where election was held peacefully.

In his acceptance remarks, Governor Bagudu thanked the security, media and politicians for working assiduously during the campaigns and election period.

“APC is elected to serve people not to rule them. Electorates are humbled by our performance in the last 4 years, that is why they voted for APC,” he said.
