Kebbi signs N151bn budget

The Kebbi State governor, Saidu Dakingari on Wednesday signed the 2014 Appropriation Bill of N151bn to law.

Dakingari, who signed the budget in a brief ceremony in Birnin Kebbi, said the budget was increased from N131bn to N151bn.

The governor, who commended the state House of Assembly on the increase, however, did not provide further breakdown of the budget.

He assured that the budget would be 100 per cent implemented, adding that all the ongoing projects would be completed before the end of his tenure in 2015.

NAN reports that the initial budget of N131.7bn was presented to the house by the governor.

It was, however, increased following the approval of the N19bn supplementary budget by the state assembly in November last year.
