Kebbi To Have Standard FIFA Technical Center — Leadership Newspaper

Kebbi State will soon have a standard FIFA (Federation International Football Association) technical center in order to fully develop the game of football in the state.

The Chairman of Kebbi State Football Association who is also member of the Congress of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Abubakar Ladan disclosed this to Leadership in an exclusive interview in Birnin Kebbi.

He said the grant for the construction of the facility is through the NFF billed for 2018/2019 provided by FIFA annually to develop football in Nigeria.

Ladan explained that the FIFA technical center would be standard comprising a football field grassed artificially and some other facilities such as offices, conferences and hostels.

He said when completed, the facility would enable matches to be played in Kebbi with even the national teams like the under 17 or even national teams camped in the state.

“Already Kebbi State government has provided four hectare land for the construction of the facility to NFF in the state, We always cultivate on the he support of government and people of the state””, he said.

Ladan who is also the Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development in the State commended the Kebbi State Governor for supporting the establishment of state team “KEBBI UNITED” which according to him is currently playing at the national league division one and also sponsoring of 15 young boys from secondary schools to Ilorin in Kwara to continue with their education and learn football.
