Kaduna based non-govermental organisation (NGO) Omalife Rescue Foundation (OLRF) in its annual food and cloth fiesta has distributed food and clothing to Kaduna community.
In an unannounced visit to Kurmin Gwari community in Kaduna South local government area of Kaduna State, residents were randomly given food items ranging from cartoons of Indomies, 10Kg bags of rice, groundnut oil, wrappers, shoes among other items.
Speaking on the gesture, the managing director and chief executive officer of the NGO, Dr Omanibe Ameh Ani said it is her modest way of touching people’s lives during festive periods annually.
“I have been doing this for some years now and I intend to continue as God also continue to bless me. People are passing through very difficult times and those of us that God has blessed, it is a good thing to stretch hands to those in needs.
“I therefore call on people that are well to do to find it in their hearts to bless others so that their own blessing can be sustained.
“Those benefitting from what we are doing today, I don’t know them, I have never met them, we just knock at their doors and give them surprise package and you can see the smiles and joy on their faces, that is what OLRF wants to see and achieve, to make people happy.
“Those who wish to join us in touching people’s lives are also welcome, together we can give the less privileged ones amongst us a sense of belonging. I pray that God will continue to provide for us so that we can sustain the gesture,” she prayed.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to our correspondent commended the gesture of the managing director of the NGO and prayed God to continue to bless her.
